Paula has been wandering on the deck for a good amount of time now.  The sea breeze was nice yet the circumstances weren’t. Pirates were taking all captive royals to a new and unknown place after the lockdown and Paula was scared. She couldn’t find her brother anywhere so she’d imagine he was on the other ship. But she didn’t know how he was. Was he injured? Was he safe? That was uncertain for her. What about her beloved friends? Closing her eyes for a moment, she prayed everyone was okay at least. She opened her eyes and looked at the view, it was stunning how the sea palette was on that part of the sea, yet her mind was somewhere else. If it was another place, another situation, she’d enjoy it, but…she wasn’t. Exhaling softly, she turned around and walked down towards the room she has been designed to stay on.  She was on her way to open the door, when she didn’t realize someone was inside and run into him.

🎅 for our muses to write letters to Santa

Ben hated the fact that the last few weeks had been so awkward for him and his friends. It was taking a toll even on those not directly affected, and Ben’s stomach had sank when Carlos had approached him and pointed out that he hadn’t seen all that much of him lately and that they should do something for Christmas. Ben hated disappointing the people he cared about most, but he also hated the idea of having to talk about what was -- or really, wasn’t -- going on with him, Mal, and Evie at the moment. And he couldn’t even begin to guess where Jay stood in all of this mess, either. So while he’d quickly agreed that he and Carlos should of course spend time together, he’d also shamefully proposed something with almost no privacy -- helping the kids of Auradon City Elementary write letters to Santa Claus before their winter break went into effect. They got off a week later than the Auradon State students, and their faces brimmed with excitement as Ben led Carlos in and introduced them to the class. “All right, now we can just wander around and glance over their shoulders and answer questions if you think that’s easier, or we could take turns sitting at different tables and then moving on, so all the kids get attention. What do you think should be our plan of attack here?”
