Catching up | Gongchan+Hyuna

‘’Okay, so I shall see you on Monday at around six o’clock? ..... See you then.’’ Hitting the end call button on his phone he laid it on his desk, his next appointment already booked. From the sound of things it wasn’t going to be that much of an emotional one, which Chan couldn’t help but be happy about. His tear ducts needed some rest anyway. 

Taking a pen he noted it down in his diary, ignoring the chatter from the side of him. ‘’Relax guys..’’ he spoke, turning his head sideways ever so slightly. ‘’After I run my errands today, I’ll help you out.’’ The spirits seemed to be happy and vanished without a single trace, much to the dismay of the young male. He had grown accustomed to being around spirits every single second of the day so a moment to himself was something new, something quite odd. 

A smile broke out on his face as he thought about the day ahead. Visiting a close friend, helping someone in need, it all seemed like a plan. Chan was very much happy at the fact he had the ability to help others, even if they weren’t actually alive. Though they tended to be slightly more annoying at times than people who were alive, Chan liked it all the same.

Exiting his building he was hit with cold breeze that was all too familiar, at least to him. The more spirits around, the colder it seemed to get. Whilst it didn’t make much sense since the sun was still somewhat in the sky, Chan didn’t argue about it. Probably something he just shouldn’t think about to begin with, opening a can of worms is the last thing he would want to do. 

Walking through the gardens of the organisation brought upon mixed feelings. Chan was still unsure about how he felt about the place, mainly since it was a military building, full of young adults. The feeling was odd, surreal. Never at any point had he ever considered joining, honing his powers. Right now everything was fine, although he couldn’t exactly control his powers, he didn’t really want to. Not being able to turn off seeing what he could see had it’s benefits. For one he was never short of work, spirit after spirit was usually the case. 

Before he knew it, he was at the cogender dorms, exactly where he wanted to be. In all his wisdom he completely forgot about whether or not he had told Hyuna he was coming. Days seemed to roll into one lately, either way she wouldn’t really mind. Also he would get to see Ruby again, so that was another plus of the visit.

Three strong knocks on the door to her room and he waited, twiddling his thumbs as the door eventually opened. ‘’Hello!’ he beamed, a smile etched across his face.

Despite the fact he had infinite wisdom from being a timelord, he still found school troublesome. The male had been away from Hogwarts since late summer, thus the reason why he had a lot of catching up to do when it came to both his social life and studies. His permanent panda eyes were accentuated by the lack of sleep he had over the past few weeks he had spent studying for his N.E.W.T.s and looking after other unlucky beings who got caught up in a timeflux related incident. He scowled uncharacteristically at the parchments that laid before him, glaring at them childishly as if he was raging war against the poor paper.

At this rate, he would end up fainting due to exhaustion from lack of sleep and eating -- Kyungsoo umma would slaughter him if he knew about Zitao's current lifestyle. Speaking of the beloved Gryffindor, he wondered whether the other had gotten better - the Hufflepuff had been keeping an eye on the students back in Hogwarts and was unsettled by the news of a cold blooded murderer on the loose. Two of his dear friends were already in the hospital wing albeit for different reasons and this pained him - the fact that he could not be there for them. But then, Kyungsoo had Jongin and Minseok had Jongdae. 

Chanyeol briefly appeared in his mind, worry etched on his face as he thought about the elder Hufflepuff. He had noticed how the male had suddenly disappeared one day, causing the timelord to worry even more. He had a nagging suspicion of what could have caused the Hufflepuff's disappearance but for now he had to concentrate at the matter at hand -- preventing an enemy of the past to enter the future. 

But maybe Zitao could put some time aside for baking cupcakes for Kyungsoo and Minseok as get well gifts.

Catching Up {Cyrus & Dinaldo}

With the headache of the Tournament--it had been far more of a logistical nightmare than he'd anticipated--Cyrus had neglected other, more personal matters. Specifically, the attention he had once paid to his staff to ensure their comfort and contentedness had been overshadowed by discussions with Ministry officials, meetings with his fellow school Heads, and panicked letters from parents who were certain that his allowing a Tournament to be hosted at his school was a sign that he was, at 50, past his prime and due to be replaced with a younger, more sensible wizard.

(The mother who had written that he was "a nuisance" and "due to learn lessons from fresher, more able" minds had made him laugh out loud in the middle of the Great Hall.)

A much-needed gap formed in his schedule--the unfortunate hospitalization of a Ministry contact--allowing him time to visit his favorite  employee. (Not that he would ever admit that. Having favorites never ended as well as people hoped.)

"Dinaldo?" he asked, knocking on the door to the professor's study. "Might I come in?"

Catching up with yourself || Closed

Ethan tensed his fingers, knuckling the brittle and thin newspaper he held in his hands slightly, the edges coming to look blurred. A sleepless purple surrounded his brown eyes, and his body held a tiredly bad posture as he sat in the red armchair in the middle of the Inn's cafeteria. His eyes roamed the news of three days ago; old stuff that was a poor substitute to what he really prefered. Real news. Comfort. Though he'd gotten plenty of sleep since his all-nighter with Kat at the hospital, Ethan found himself constantly tired, and even slightly blue by the enivronment of the island. It was under some weird kind of a shut-down, for some reason, and it seemed to depress a lot of its inhabitants. Emily was constantly worried, Mr and Mrs Anderson seemed beyond as tired as he felt, and the rest of the guests were whispering wildly in every corner, some caught up in what happened to Derek; others caught up in their own problems. It wore him out, even though he'd never really had his time to react to all that had happened yet. He hadn't quite... caught up with himself. A part of him was still frozen in panic over Derek, though mostly it extended to the people around him -- mostly, it extended to Kat. To her reaction. To her mental state of mind. He hadn't talked to anyone. It was as if everyone distanced themselves, and calmed themselves down. It impressed him somewhat; at least from a medical perspective. Another part of him was restless. The tricky bit here was that he felt restless whatever he did. If he moved around, he felt restless and unnecessarily giddy. If he sat down, he felt restless and found his thirst for information to be unsatisfyingly strong. No matter what Ethan did with himself, he felt tired. So as he sat in the middle of the cafeteria, Ethan had to put down the newspaper; thin and fragile, its edges crumped by the pressure of his flustered and white fingers. Almost a little like his state-of-mind. He rested his forehead in the slightly calloused palm of his hand, tired beyond sleep.

Catching Up // Rory & Amara

Amara had missed seeing Rory around recently. After the fire, which Quinn had told her all about seeing as she’d been passed out at the time, he seemed to have disappeared.  She figured that he’d been trying to keep out of everyone’s way, but part of her was still worried that he’d gone off to do something stupid.

That was why she’d been so happy to bump into him, hugging him to an extent that was probably uncomfortable for the poor thing. Even though they hadn’t spent much time for her, she liked him a lot. She was looking forward to spending some time catching up with him now, though, and she bounded towards him with a bright smile.
