The Queen and her Heir ~ Juliette and Antonia
Juliette, after a blissful morning of doing nothing in an empty house but reading, washing her hair and making herself feel beautiful, she decided that people deserved to see her that way, too. She felt like food other than lettuce and apples, so she agreed to meet up with Nia and have a girls day. She wanted a day where she didn't think about her shitty job, her shitty parents or the fact that she didn't apply to the shitty university that everyone else seemed to have gotten into. Not that she wanted to go there anyway. She knew that she'd be accepted into Harvard, and she was, but the fact that her dad was an idiot and spent her college savings on his fucking country club membership when things went south, so she couldn't afford it. She wanted a day where she didn't feel like shit.
So she left the house with her Prada handbag on one arm, her (painfully downgraded) iPhone in another, and she felt practically regal. She knew she was hot and she took pride in her appearance, but really her confidence came from more than her pretty face. She knew who she was, what she was planning to be and how to get it. She was self-assured and callous, and that added to the way she carried herself. She also knew how to hide the way she felt. She walked down the street with her head held high and a smirk permanently plastered upon her face. She decided not to take the bus, it was a waste of money and she could walk there just as quickly, so she took in the sights. She tended to have the ability to see all her old high school classmates at their worst, while she always looked her best. It put her on top of the social ladder.
She strutted into Nicky's and took off her sunglasses to reveal her emerald eyes accentuated with smoky eye make up. She sat down in an empty booth, basking in the beauty of air conditioning, and ordered over a waitress to bring her some water, while she waited for Nia.
