I Started A Joke || Pride & Wrath (Flashback)
Many had started to suffer alongside the Angel and the Lust Demon, the recent events surrounding them coming to a close with the promise of precious heartache and pain. While the two had been restricted to the beds, the rest of the Cirque members were left to their own devices of coping. Dorian used his time to mask emotion among cigarette buds and alcohol, drowning away sadness without the need to come face to face with reality. This time, he took to wandering the streets with half a bottle of Jack in one hand, and yet another cigarette between his dry lips. He passed familiar faces and ignored those who claimed to know him in their own ways, otherwise minding his business and avoiding conversation to the best of his abilities.
His avoidance came to an abrupt stop as he caught sight of someone close, he could have sworn he was seeing things, though the sight of the Wrath Demon couldn’t be pushed to the side without worry. Dorian stumbled calmly towards Stefan, more or less to check to see if he was alright in light of the situation. Dorian could only assume he was still ridden with rage. He kept a safe distance for now, foolishly believing he could install some sort of pleasantry to act as a band-aid from pain and sadness. “I’ll admit, I didn’t expect to see you out here. Is all okay?” His words came with an unusual softness, as if unaffected by emotion or anything of ill-will.
