Bigmouth Strikes Again - Sam & Bee
A low chuckle formed in Sam's throat as he realized that Bee lived in the same apartment complex as him. He dropped his pen and crumpled up the piece of paper he had been writing on before tossing it into a trashcan. Sam couldn't figure out what was wrong with Bee's car over the phone and it wasn't running so she couldn't bring it in. Her car needed to be towed to the garage but Sam offered to look at it first. Sam decided that he'd go back to his apartment for lunch and try to figure out what was wrong with Bee's car while he was there. He wanted to make sure that he got to the car before someone else did. It frustrated him when a car went to Andy instead of him. If he couldn't fix it before his lunch break was over then he'd call one of the Simmons to pick it up. At least it'd still be his car to work on because he'd be the one calling it in.
Sam weaved in and out of traffic as he made his way home. He hated being stuck behind slow drivers especially when he was faced with time constraints. His street finally came into view not long after he finished cussing out a guy for getting in his way. He turned the corner and slid right into a parking spot outside of his apartment complex before hopping out of his car. Despite his hurried driving as soon as his shoes hit the pavement he was less concerned about how long it'd take him to reach Bee's apartment. He had about an hour to spare before he had to go back to work. As Sam walked through the complex he kept an eye out for Bee's car. He wasn't sure if it was out in the open or tucked away in a garage somewhere. When he couldn't find the car he shrugged it off because he knew it would be better to talk to her first anyway.
Even though he had lived in the same place for nearly a year he had never bothered to make friends. He wasn't that surprised that he had never seen Bee before. It wasn't like he spent much time there anyway. The farthest into the complex he had ever been was laundry room and now that Emily had her own house he was usually found there to do his laundry. In fact he might as well have still lived with them because he spent more time there than his own place. Sam continued to walk, passing the laundry room on his way, and eventually reached the building that Bee apparently lived in. Sam strolled along the hallway and stopped in front of her door. He adjusted his jacket and ran a hand through his hair before knocking on Bee's door. Sam relaxed his knuckles before letting his arm fall to his side as he waited for the door to open.
