I hate being gay, not because of internalized homophobia or anything but because I'm only friends with other gay people and although my friend group ranges from the ages 15-19 NONE OF US KNOW HOW TO FUCKING DRIVE

Believe me, it's easier than it looks. Or feels. Take a deep breath.
Remember that whatever you do with your wheel backing up or pulling in, you have to turn the opposite of that in the other direction. Otherwise you will end up exactly as you were and this will get frustrating.
Don't think about people watching you.
Take it slow. Small movements.
You have more space than you think.
Seriously, stop thinking about people watching, they're not judging you, promise. They're probably impressed.
Breathe. Try again.
Get out and look. There's nothing wrong with getting out and visualizing what you need to do.
But be careful.
Get back in your car and don't give up.
I know it seems stressful. But you can do it!
