❝ hold on... hold on, give me---- ❞ give her a second, is whatshe’s trying to say, but she can’t get the words out. she’s floating, somewhere away from this scene, and her heart is poundingextremely fast ---- ❝ i’m fine, ❞ she lies, as images of glass andsnow swirl before her eyes. ❝ i’m... it’s okay, i’m okay. ❞
as if repeating it would make it more true. she grabs onto the sideof the ambulance for support. funny, that she’d called him here forsomeone other than herself, someone who’d been shot, and nowshe, with no wounds on her body, was the one in a panic. funnywasn’t really the right word ---- it was ironic.

Andy hissed when he took her hand, it definitely felt as if it was broken. “Don’t make me regret this, ok?” Andy grumbled, sure she wanted to convince him that she was just fine but she knew that the moment he saw her wrist, he’d see that it was broken straight away.

“You okay there?”
Andy and Nick were just patrolling, driving around in the squad car to ‘serve, protect and don’t screw up’. Up until this point of their day, early afternoon, nothing had happened. Nothing suspicious and nothing serious. They were just looking for trouble that was still really hard to find. That was until Dispatch informed them about a guy who was walking around heavily bleeding. The man was on the move and they only had his last location. Nick and Andy quickly drove towards the direction the man was last seen at.
They were almost there when Andy spotted a rig with a lot of commotion around it. They had been told the EMT was sound out and Andy just figured it was the responding unit who was there. She got out of the car and walked up to the paramedics, telling Nick to make sure the people around would give the paramedics enough space.
“What do we got?” Andy asked, keeping a distance between herself and the paramedics that would still have them be able to work. She didn’t even notice it were Toby and Oz until she gave them a second look. “Oh, hey Toby, Oz.” She looked over her shoulder, Nick already questioning a few of the people who stood closest to them.
