Have you ever had a favourite character that you ended up not liking/disliking?
I can think of a couple where maybe they weren't my absolute favorite characters per se, but I initially liked them a lot.
-Tommy in Power Rangers. At first he was pretty interesting and had some relatable flaws, but then the show turned him into Ranger Jesus, and now the actor still can't seem to let go or move on from this and in turn made the character even more insufferably annoying and overrated (and far too many people are egging him on, and I could go on and on about how I hate this).
-Jaina Proudmoore in World of Warcraft. She started out pretty interesting, being the powerful mage leader of a city who pushed for peace between the Horde and Alliance, but then the Horde destroyed that city, and she went completely off the rails and is probably on track to become a villain in a future expansion at the rate things are going and I fucking hate how Blizzard is treating its female NPCs.
