Crested Berrypecker (Paramythia montium)
...a colorful species of “Painted Berrypecker” (Paramythiidae), that is known to occur in West Papua, Indonesia, and parts of Papua New Guinea. Crested berrypeckers typically inhabit subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, usually at heights above 2,200m. Like other painted berrypeckers, crested berrypeckers are arboreal, feeding on a range of small fruits and berries. They also have been observed to occasionally eat small insects and other invertebrates.
