what about the new gen blogs? have any of them caught your interest like the old blogs? do you have any faves?
Gosh, it’s hard to say, honestly! Because they’re fairly new, I sort of feel like I haven’t seen enough to have any strong oppinions because a lot of the plots are starting to just take off.
The first blog that came to mind is mrmustache-discovery-center. Already we’re seeing hints of a fascinating backstory and the beginning of a very successful crossover blog. The concept is fresh and orriginal and a fantastic take on the FNAF game series. From what I gather, there are brother Once-lers; One who the night watch and one who is likely the manager of the building and doesn’t know what’s happening at night. The full concept is yet to be revealed but so far the blog has drawn attention to the effect the events have on Night and the sour state of the valley. Those are aspects that drive the emotion of the story along so far and I am looking forward to seeing great things come out of that blog. I’m SO excited!
Second I will mention Once-lette. The artwork is absolutely stunning. I like the history that Once-lette has with her imaginary friend Greedler. So far it’s been rather sweet and sad. Emotions and scenery are fantastically conveyed through the artwork and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the plot will progress at this point in time because there are just so many things we don’t know about it.
Edit: Argh, I almost forgot! Monster-ler! The art is fantastic, very clean interesting lines, great expressions and notable interactions with other characters. I’m not sure if Monster-ler is a new gen blog...but well I have blogs I’m not sure about on this list and all. For a Monster, he doesn’t do as monsters are expected to do like other known monsterous Once-lers. Its an interesting take on that, really. There’s this fascinating contrast between how he is now and before he was afflicted by his curse. He seems to have been worse in terms of personality and now that he appears monsterous physically he seems to have a more subdued personality...although that’s partly due to how he doesn’t really like his appearance. He’s also got this great character design. A very interesting build unlike much other Once-lers out there. It might sound a bit weird, but the way I read his words makes me think he has a very gentle voice and I feel calm when I read his words.
Mute’s blog is another that has demonstrated the main character’s history. The art is very clean and sharp and emotions are fantastically drawn. Mute often replies to asks with emotes and actions but words as well from time to time, obviously which gets around his inability to speak. It’s a bit hard to explain but I like how he relies on just showing how he feels at times. There’s curiosity surrounding how he got from his past business days to how he is now and of course how he lost his voice.
Haha, frankly it seems that any blogs that have demonstrated their past have caught my eye, so Playboy Bunny-ler is no exception. There’s that question of how he got to where he is today. The artwork is so beautiful and soft and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the concept. It’s another example of how a concept is taken even further. The mod actually questioning WHY a Once-ler is a Playboy Bunny.
Minion-ler is a precious character with a blog that goes into the pains of being an aftermath. Some unexpected depth has risen from the blog and I look forward to seeing more of it as well.
Also, I dunno, I think Face has been around for a while…I can’t remember when he surfaced but his blog is funny and I like talking with him. He’s an absolute sweetheart and his blog is just one of those enjoyable sorts.
Otaku has been around for a while but I don’t know how long either but theres more to that blog than meets the eye as well. Some very mysterious plotlines going on there too…ooooh.
AND lastly, Coppy. I really really wanna see what Coppy is all about I’m so very curious. It’s also a very interesting blog and Coppy is an fascinating character. I truely love seeing him update…the art, the expressions and everything have been really great so far. To make a Once-ler blog based off of a strange Tumblr april fools joke is just…like it’s amazing to see how the mod has run with the concept.
Gosh, thinking about it, there are a lot of new askblogs…it was kind of hard to think of my favorites of the bunch…I’ve probably missed some and I’m sorry if I haven’t named them…I don’t like excluding people : c
