With their second release, Paraskeva intertwines their signature style of emotional storytelling with a deep love for electronic music. The EP's title is an apt representation of an uncertain future, with each track masterfully weaving together a tapestry of futuristic sounds, electronic and acoustic drums, and guitar and saxophone melodies that create a captivating and unique sound.
Undergoing significant changes, the band's new lineup features Anton Kuznetsov, who replaced parts of keys and bass with an array of electronic instruments, adding a new dimension to the band's sound. Aleksandr Timofeev takes Sergei Muyserev's mantle as the saxophone player and brings his unique energy and style to Paraskeva's music, having previously worked with such collectives as the famous Russian garage-rock band "Dayte Tank (!)". Valeriy Gurov, the new drummer, adds a fresh perspective to the band's rhythm section, having massive experience with a variety of musical genres – from folk to hard rock. And of course, Aleksei Bronnikov's electric guitar is ever present, providing a foundation to the band's signature sound both on the debut album and this new release.
Thematically, this release is a meditation, a stream of thoughts – a tribute to a long-forgotten past, an unforeseeable future, and a wish to stay true to yourself in the face of the ever-changing winds of change.
