Greetings! I just found your parastuck au, and was wondering what John would do once Karkat became a human, since most of the art that you have for this au lacks his presence. omg!! john is there yes! i just really like gamzee and karkat’s story. he actually gets very jealous and is in danger of becoming a shadow like karkat was. so far he hadn’t succumbed to any negative feelings or thoughts but seeing karkat, someone no longer able to, getting his body back made john feel hurt and angry, and he felt hopeless considering dave can actually touch him and spend time now. at this point dave has a bit of a thing for karkat but it’s one sided (but karkat cares really deeply)

oh yeah! all of the other trolls are in it. Here’s a list of their brief bio’s!

Aradia- Demon, former psychic human. She made a wish for Sollux to forget about her after her death, using him as her target afterwards.

Tavros- Human, psychic, obviously able to commune with animals, and is a host to Vriska

Sollux- Human psychic, haunted by Aradia who wished to erase his memories, Karkat’s best friend besides Dave. He’s hostile towards Eridan

Karkat- (obvs)

Nepeta- Hunter, her family hunts down demons, and has equius as a companion. She eventually develops a crush on karkat

Kanaya- uh….. vampire. i know, i know, but it fits and she’s not the typical bloodthirsty night dwelling vampire. her kind can blend easily with humans and they only take a small amount of blood. They can’t have demon blood or they WILL go rampant

Terezi- Demon, she haunts Dave but more subtly than the others. She actually attends school frequently at day but terrorizes dave at night with surreal things.

Vriska- Demon (haa), she used to hunt John before he died until her sister decided to take action. She still semi watches over him but she can’t interact

Equius- Shifter, a hunter alongside Nepeta, he acts as a familiar to her and helps locate demons and other creatures

Gamzee- (duhh demon, blah blah sexy clown crush to karkat) also he starts to get FEELINGS WOW and maybe cough rebels against his position cough cough

Eridan- Siren, a reluctant companion to Sollux and Feferi’s long time friend. He also can charm people and cast spells, but mostly minor ones

Feferi- Mermaid/siren (i guess??), heiress to the ocean and a constant fan of humans. she’s friends with practically everyone no matter the race, especially sollux

alright, so the beforus trolls are similar but i don’t want to make this too long. i’ll do that list later. this is just a small and simple summary of them all

Parastuck AU: so now are demon!Gamzee and shadow!Karkat friends or is Gamzee incapable cause he's a demon?

demons can befriend others, but depending on what they lost for a deal it can vary on how capable demons are of friendship. gamzee’s a special case even when he gave away his heart for karkat. most demons give away their souls as humans so it’s more superficial than one where a demon sold his heart or body, though the body one is with incubi and such.

this is when they “first” met, though it took a while for karkat to actually go through with it, seeming as he’s a shadow with a contained heart. the deal was him losing his voice, since at first he didn’t know how to read or anything.

Does that mean Gamzee and Karkat were human in your parastuck AU before Karkat was a shadow?

yes! karkat and gamzee were human before, because you have to die to be a demon or shadow. gamzee wished for karkat to have a new heart and in turn he was formed into a demon to compensate, losing his heart in a car accident that was planned by the demon he made the deal with. unfortunately due to that karkat was left without a best friend and despite the new heart died anyways. sollux was his best friend too actually but he’s still alive.
