Hunter was purely and utterly exhausted, he had been working over time with not only his recruits but also his own training as a few new techniques, aircrafts and workouts had come through that he needed to train with and become competent in as the new line of recruits will come through in mere months. So he had worked hard to be able to feel confident in teaching these new techniques and also knowing that this will help him with his own knowledge.
As he made his way up to their apartment, he knew that he had a lot of sucking up to do because he’s hardly been around for Sebastian and not just physically. So he made sure when he walked in he had a bouquet of Iris’ and a bottle of wine as he unlocked the door, walking inside and calling out “Bas I’m home!”
Grayson’s hands were sweating, it had been a while since he had seen Jaxon in person and he was nervous as all hell. It didn’t help that he had the biggest crush on the older man since the day they met and Jaxon couldn’t seem to tell that the younger man was basically into him. If Gray wasn’t so freaked out that he might not like him back he would have made a move but he didn’t want to risk their friendship. He fixed his shirt and took his hat off and fixed his hair before he made his way down to the small dressing room that Jaxon was in. He knocked softly on it. “Jax?” He said gently as he opened the door.
Who: Magda Kennedy & Cassandra July (@willcrushyou)
When: Sunday 12/5/2019 - Evening/Night
Where: Cassie’s Apartment
What: Unknown to Magda, Cassie is in the middle of alcohol withdrawal and Magda goes to take care of her, scared out of her mind.
Triggers: alcohol use/abuse, withdrawal symptoms
Notes: the triggers on this are bound to add up but they’ll be added as we go
Magda was terrified. Cassie wasn’t normally like this and whatever this was, it wasn’t a stomach flu. She’d left Conall with Rosy, apologising for leaving, but she needed to make sure Cassie was taken care of, she had to. It wouldn’t take her too long to get to Cassie’s place but as she stepped through the doorway, her heart dropped. The place was trashed. “Darling? Where are you?” Her voice shook and her heart was racing in her chest. Lord, let her be okay. She closed the door behind her and wandered further into the apartment.
SUMMARY: Cassandra gives Chelsea a private dance lesson to get her ready for upcoming live performances.
WARNINGS: N/A
Scheduling a private on a Sunday morning…what had she been thinking? Sure, Magda had pointed out that it was something to do while they were in church. But she also could have entertained herself with hours of Real Housewives. Ugh. She turned on the fan, then dumped her bag on her desk. Since she was a few minutes early, she sat down to glance over her prep notes one more time and finish her smoothie.
Kurt was child free at the moment and that gave him some time to go over some plans for 2019 and maybe draw some plans to give to his people so they could make the finished product. Pretty much 80% of fashion design was planning and what felt like years worth of meetings, whether that was with your own people or with celebrities who you want to work with. While it was a major headache it was worth it in the end to see your finished product on someone who was a big influencer.
Seeing his phone buzz, Kurt saw it was from Louis and stopped what he was doing. Kurt had a soft spot for Louis for a short time now and felt protective over him. The guy had gone through a lot and even though he was better, still felt a need to make sure he was ok. After texting to suggest he should come over. Kurt put all his stuff away and made sure the house was tidy. He sprayed a nice fragrance around the place and looked in the mirror making sure his apperance was ok, Kurt was always one for perfection when it came to his clothes. At school it was his armour, now he uses it as a fashion statement against gender norms - not that he didn’t do that at school anyway, but this time he could afford the clothes and not use his father’s credit card.
Daniel: was glad that Maggie's mom agreed to come onto the trip, so that way they could look at places and so Maggie can see her aunts. He was proud of his sister and her show, he basically lost his voice for the night after he yelled out, 'That's his twin' at the top of his lungs. Once he arrived at his twin's door, he tapped on the door with his foot and waited patiently for her to open the door.
Warnings: Depression, Anxiety, religious beliefs and many feels.
Who: Flora Devereaux
When: Takes place starting Nov 22nd
Where: Devereaux Family home - Louisiana.
What: The start of Flora’s mental state declining and her rise back.
AN: I plan on making this into several parts, I haven’t decided how many. This is part one of a possible three part, if not more. Please enjoy.
Thanksgiving was nice, she distracted herself with her nieces, nephews, and got to see a few new additions to the family. She helped take care of the animals and tried not to think about Avery and Daniel not being there. it was hard but she would respect their choice even if it killed her inside.
By midday Flora pulled herself away from the family and busied herself in the kitchen. Trying her best to ignore the anxiety she was feeling. She started to gather ingredients to bake cookies, she loved to bake when she was stressed. “We have plenty of sweets, darlin’. Come, join me on the porch.” Marmee came into the kitchen with a smile, holding out her hand. Flora took it and followed her out onto the porch and shared the swing. Flora closed her eyes and leaned her head against her mom’s shoulder. “Talk to me, what’s wrong?” Flora told her how she was feeling, how she hated that things were changing.
“They have never missed a holiday, they are pulling away. I don’t know how to handle that but I don’t want to be selfish.”
“Oh, Suga, everything changes. Nothing stays the same and thank god for that, because what would I do with four grown children in my house? Your babies are doing the same thing, finding their way in this world. You have to accept that, it’s God’s intention. We have the babies, we raised the babies, and then those babies continue the cycle. You have always been close with them but they have to have independents. I’m sad they are not here but they always come home, I’ll see them again and so will you.”
“Darn you and your wisdom.”
“It comes with getting old, you’ll get there.”
“You’re not old, Marmee.”
“Bless ya darlin’.” They shared many sweet moments like that, sitting on the porch and enjoying the weather. She never wanted to give that up, she wanted to stay and she did.
Marmee ended up taking a spill and hurt her arm and Paw hurt his back trying to get her up. Flora used that excuse to stay and help around the house, her mother insisted she’d be fine but Flora already unpacked her bag. Each passing day, Flora seemed to get worse and worse. Her anxiety was through the roof. Paranoid, watching around every corner and Magnolia was getting worried. She expressed her concerns to Buddy, “I’m worry, Bud, something is not right. She’s hiding, jumpy.” Those words were not meant for Flora’s ears but she overheard them. Annoyed she made her way to the kitchen.
“Glad to see you can still gossip, Marmee. I’m fine,” Magnolia and Buddy followed after her, watching as she checked the back door and each window. She stayed by the door and just peered out into the darkness, Buddy spoke first.
“What are you looking for?”
“A glass.”
“Not going to find it outside, Mouse.” Buddy took a few steps closer, watching as Flora tensed. “He’s not out there, the dogs would be barking. The light would come on...”
“I don’t know what you are-”
“Mouse, I get that you don’t want to talk about it but you have to talk to someone. You told me you were done hiding, convinced me this was all for the best. Prove it,” He walked over and pressed a kiss to her temple. “Show me that confident woman who stood up to me. You’re safe here, Mouse.” He smiled when she wrapped her arms around him, hugging him close. His strong arms keeping her safe, “I have to get going, I love you.”
“I love you, Buddy.” Before he left, Buddy walked over and grabbed a glass for Flora, filling it with water and smiling.
“Bye Marmee,” He kissed his mother’s cheek and was gone. Leaving Magnolia and Flora standing in the kitchen.
“Are you ready to talk to me?” She held out her hand, “We can sit in your room and talk there?” Flora walked over to her mother and kissed her cheek.
“I’m fine, Marmee, I’m going to bed.”
“Lying to your mother is a sin.”
“And that is between me and the good lord, good night. I love you.”
“And I love you,” Magnolia sighed and headed to bed.
Every little excuse and she extended her stay, which started to worry not only Magnolia but Owen. “Car,” he was a man of a few words but his voice was never rough, but it was enough to get Flora’s attention.
“Why?”
“Doctor’s,” Flora pulled the blanket over her head.
“Sweetheart, get out of that bed or I’m calling Buddy or Bugga. My back is out and I don’t have the strength I once did.” Flora sighed and pulled herself from bed, not bothering to get out of her pajamas. She just slipped on shoes, grabbed a sweater and was out the door.
“This is pointless, Paw.”
“No harm in checking.” Like her Paw wanted she started to see doctors but none of them could get it right. They changed her medicine from high to low, it made things worse and soon she was barely functioning. She stopped leaving her room, she’d just stare off into space or cry for no reason at all. “It’s time to call for god’s help, bring a little Faith. It has never failed us before, baby, it’s time to watch god work his miracle’s. Pray with us, sweetheart.” Paw and Marmee each took a hand, Flora’s head rolled to one side. Resting it on her mother’s shoulder as tears ran down her face. “Go on Maggie,” Paw told his wife, knowing she was much better with words then he.
“Dear lord, we ask that you help our precious Flora. Help her to find the faith she has lost, so she may heal and be whole again. Help her find faith in you, look upon her with your eyes of mercy. Rest your healing hands upon her, so your life-giving power can flow through to her very soul. Relieve her fears, anxieties, and grant her peace of mind, heart, so she may confide in you again. In jesus name we pray, Amen.”
“Amen.” Paw leaned in and kissed Flora’s cheek. “We’re here for you, sweetheart. Marmee and Paw are not going anywhere.” Owen wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. He had never seen any of his kids behave like this and it scared him. “Flora, can you hear us honey?” He cupped her face and stared into her eyes, she gave no sign and just stare back with dead eyes. “This is not right, Maggie, something is wrong. We need to call the kids, they have a right to know.”
“Owen, they can not see her like this.”
“You’re wrong, Maggie.”
“Do you want the kids to see her like this? Not speaking, not moving? She can’t take care of herself, we have to make this right. When she’s better we can let them know.”
“They are adults, Maggie.”
“I said no.”
“This is going to blow up in your face.”
“Probably but I’m her mother and I’m going to protect her.” Magnolia held onto Flora as Owen walked around and pressed a kiss to his wife’s head. “I have to, Owen.” Magnolia had tears in her eyes.
“I will support you, we’ll take care of her. Don’t cry, honey.”
Abel: figured he would stick around New York for a few days, which he was thankful his team let him do. When he saw that Sebastian had another graveyard shift, he figured it would be a good idea to visit him. Once he was inside of the office, he headed straight to Sebastian's desk. "So, what did you do to get this shift?"
