i hate people who hate el. like yeah she does the scream thing. THATS NOT THE ONLY THING SHE DOES. they make it sound like her only purpose as a character is to stare at the villain menacingly and scream and then Cry. like !?!?!?! what !?!?!?!? her character is so much more than that?
im so tired of the "papa" and "friends dont lie" jokes. "friends dont lie" is one of the biggest themes in the show!?!?!? and they just use the line to make fun of el. its the phrase she latched on to. it was one of the phrases used to help her understand what a friend was, because she did not know what a friend was!!!
people who make fun of her season 2 meltdown make me sick!!!!!!!!! she was scared and confused and isolated and didnt know how to deal with her overpowering feelings of sadness and helplessness so she let it out through her powers. which is devastating in itself, because her powers are the reason she has to be isolated in the first place.
dont even get me STARTED on how most m!levens treat her.
yeah lets all make fun of the traumatized depressed confused girl because she made a funny face/can't speak fluently because she was in a lab for the first eleven years of her life/is traumatized depressed and confused.
it makes me so angry. you can dislike el without being downright stupid and ignorant about it
lowkey want a little scene where (if the rumors are true that mike gets injured) he is asleep/comatose/passed out in a hospital bed or anywhere BEFORE byler happens and will kisses his hand or forehead, as a little secret. it could be such a tender scene and would be even more powerful with byler endgame in later episodes
