They would be arguably decent at it, for a purpleblooded grub. For C/n and Basil after Ambassador!Y/N passes away, they're kinda more like the fun uncle and aunt who are now suddenly saddled with little lives to care for. Big siblings who never really went through parentification, but certainly have a semblance of paternal/maternal instinct somewhere inside.
They're learning alongside the kids how to navigate this plus the plethora of responsibilities they have as an old rap legend(who is still grinding) and a popular preacher who are in a beautiful hate with each other.
There are culture clashes for the kids being raised in an Alternian home with animal as well as human grandparents. But there is a semblance of healthy parenting going on with the support system you set up for the 4 of them before you died.
