Necessity reveals strength when parenting alone
Necessity reveals strength when parenting alone

Dad-less day 2
Parenting alone yesterday was not too bad. The routine was not too thrown off and although he was a bit crankier than normal before bed, everything went smoothly.
Today, has not been as great. He woke up earlier than normal and I feel like the whole day has been thrown off. He’s teething pretty badly and whining and pulling at his ears, and crying a lot. My husband normal takes care of him in the morning although it’s not much work because he naps until almost lunch time. Not today, so I’ve been a bit overwhelmed trying to balance work and Derek.
I have a ton of baby food to make, since we’re quickly running out. And my mom, who I thought would be here in an hour, won’t get here unti dinner time, so I have to make dinner while the nanny is here, because there is no way it can get done alone.
I don’t really get to talk to my husband with the 3 hour time difference. He called me when he woke up, but I had to go quickly because I had to get work done. He’s out at dinner with the group when I go to bed, and is in training all day.
It’s only 1:30 here. Is it too early to crack open a beer?
