to anyone who doesn't think they can just forcibly change their name by sheer power of will: my mother's birth name was laura and then she legally changed it to madison but then she was frustrated because suddenly everyone started being named madison so when she started using the name 'joonbeam' on social media and her friends all started calling her 'joon' as a nickname she literally was just like OK THAT'S IT and told everyone to call her joon from now on and it's been 4 years now and most people don't even know her legal name is madison
