My best friend is pregnant with identical twins and feeling overwhelmed because she desperately wanted to be "one and done." I blurted out, "worst case scenario they go Lord of the Flies inside you and you get your wish!"
I was afraid I had offended, but she had a cathartic cackle instead and thanked me for being the first person to treat her like a human and not a Precious Vessel since it all began.
