and the monster danced.
Tendou Satori is a chocolatier in Paris, confined by the small shop and the demanding smiles of his customers.
He finds comfort in, unexpectedly, dancing on rooftops at night - it gives him the autonomy to express his frustration on no one but the stars.
And, of course, on the secret crowd who have accumulated below him.
Masked, no one can tell who he is, and the shadows of the dark conceal his red hair.
He might have taken the anonymity for granted, though, because when a certain Japanese wing spiker arrives in the country to meet his friend, he is captivated by the dancer, and his heart is split in two.
Does he choose the dancer, or the friend who had been more than just that for years?
Little does he know the decision won't be nearly as difficult as he thinks…

Parisian Labyrinth | Oil on canvas by Mihail Zablodsky
Paris is not a city, it's a feeling of structured chaos.
I wanted to capture the geometry of the Parisian rooftops, the way they interlock like a living puzzle. Each orange chimney pot is a memory of a warm dinner, and the zinc roofs reflect the melancholic sky.
Writing this story in multiple layers of oil allowed me to really feel the city's pulse. It's a slow conversation with the light, a meditation in blue and orange.
Have you ever felt more alive in a labyrinth of old buildings than in a wide open field?
