Or are you just happy to see me…? (Helloooo #UEBoom)
So I met these two handsome men on a train in Switzerland one day. And they had a sexy toy. (Not a sex toy!)
Although...
Ladies and shadies -- Allow me to introduce you to the UE BOOM wireless bluetooth speaker.
If you go to the article I wrote on HuffPo about this magical encounter (and you should, I talk about an important topic), you will understand the title of this post…
Or you can just look at that picture of me in my jeans above and I think you’ll get why I was instantly captivated by their gadget. (Eh hem.) If you could hear the way it sounds, you'd also understand why I wanted to tell the whole world about it.
Anywaaay… You know this cowgirl likes her dashing cowboys and a good party, so you can see where this is going. I ended up inviting these cowboys to throw a party with Cowgirl App! in Paris. Not only did they take me up on it, but they paid for it.
It takes a certain kind of talent. ;-)
Thanks cowboys. You're true gentleman. :-*
These particular cowboys work for the sexy side of Logitech (didn’t know they had a sexy side, did you?), which is in the business of superior sound. Ultimate Ears, now owned by Logitech, is a company that has had long-term intimate relationships with the aural orifices of some mega musical stars...
SO WHAT WAS THE PARTY FOR? Well the Logitech cowboys and I just thought it would be fun to get some techie, designy, musicky people together and let them wrap their own hands -- and heads -- around the multisensory beauties of the BOOM. You see, it not only looks gorgeous, but it sounds really amazing and it's fun to touch. Seriously. It's covered with fireman jacket stuff. Totally random and cool.
And mojitos. (Thank you cookNmeet. Délicieux !)
We had our party at the cool, hipstery space of 50 Partners, an investor group that incubates startups in Paris. (I just love those baby startups! They're so cute!)
Photos top to bottom: Sébastien, French Logitech cowboy holding one of my very own BOOMs (you can see why #ILikeFrance), Diego (Swiss Logitech gentleman cowboy, and Handsome #2 from the Swiss train episode) doing a waterproof BOOM demo (with guitarist Pierre Journel documenting), me and my Levis and one of my BOOMs, mojitos (duh), bloggers from W3SH lifestyle blog groovin' on the BOOM's amazing sound, Tristan Jahn (musician) just looking cool (like they do), Isabella Clark, who won a BOOM in the drawing (those adorable cowboys gave 3 BOOMs away!), and Marie-Amélie Frère, president of Girlz in Web, the largest and most active group of professional techie grrrls in Paris.
Thanks for comin' y'all. See you next time.
xoxo
Pam
