13 yrs ago found a sense of community and family in the New York house and ballroom scene. It was a safe space for me when I was going through a lot trying to find myself in a city where you simply cannot do it alone. I found a space where I was celebrated for I the things I was always put down for. Ballroom was a sort of boot camp for life in a sense. I was tested and pushed in the best of ways, and most importantly... loved. I want to thank all my brothers and sisters and friends who have been there for me throughout years. To be deemed legendary means so much. To be seen by your own means the world to me. Thank you to my chosen family who has always had my back.
