Why Amsterdam?

I am a student at Bennington College in Vermont, USA. Each winter we are required to find an internship (stage) anywhere that fits in with our area of study. Its called Field Work Term. I study visual arts. I came to Amsterdam two years ago to do my senior project for high school. Ever since, I’ve wanted to be back here, continuing to make art inspired by this place. Field Work Term (fwt) provided the perfect chance. I contacted people I had met here about finding work, and a few opportunities arose. Now I am doing this project, after working over the past week with Stichting Polderlicht on their project Parklicht (http://www.polderlicht.com/parklicht.htm). It was a great experience and I got to meet many people. I am excited to start making things again.
