What was their family like in one sentence?
What sort of relationship did their parents have?
What sort of relationship did their parents have with them?
Did the family as a whole get along?
What family drama did they deal with growing up?
What is the worst thing that happened to your character?
As a child?

What moment defines your character?
What moment was a changing point in their life?
What moment made them grow up?
