#b3d Working in some #boid #particlesimulation on #blender. Didn't know boids in #Blender managed limited #ai I guess for somethings is really easy, but not if you need super control with a especific follow up set of rules. Vote this up to 100 likes and I'll do an advanced setup tutorial. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bselzr6lI5P/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1bvs79805u791

Using nParticles (I think that’s what they are called?) in 3Ds Max for snow deformation. Took a plane, subdevided it to create lots of vertices. Used a particle system to spawn 20 sided geometry on each vertex of the plane to act as collision points. Then used the ‘glue’ modifier to control the ‘give’ of the snow and to keep the particles from sliding away as if they had no friction. The resulting simulation allows 3D objects to leave ‘tracks’ in the snow as the plane is deformed around ingressing object.
