Oh, Titanic for sure! @konekowrites is a genius and came up with most of the ideas I have rotating for it. I love the boys finding each other despite living wildly different lives. I adore the way they so easily and immediately connect and fall for each other. I love them defying the odds, being brave and taking the first steps to be together, and I love it happening on the most doomed-from-the-start ship in modern history!

3. was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made this character your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

I liked Gojou from the start but both the scene in the morgue and later the Shibuya incident reaffirmed that he’s my babygirl

4. what’s the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?

I love his silliness and his competence when he’s doing a violence UwU + i love that he’s selfish and callous but also kind and sweet in his own way

6. if you could talk to your Blorbo, what would you say to them?

Just kill the higher ups lmao! also go get better friends

7. what’s the one thing the fandom gets wrong about your Blorbo?

He’s not a dad but he’s also not a heartless bastard incapable of thinking with more than his jujutsu cock. There’s nuance here. Also it annoys me when people blame him for not taking Hana as a ward. There was literally somebody else helping her already. We don’t know enough about the situation and to use it as another condemnation of Gojou is just purposefully looking for flaws.

13. is there any crime, any wrongdoing your Blorbo could commit that would make you stop loving them and remove them from your hyperfixation entirely?

In canon? Being a lolicon i guess

18. do you ship your Blorbo with any character?

Yuuji! And only Yuuji~ all other Gojou ships i have on my blocklist. Those ships do nothing for me except make me extremely irritated.

20. if you have more than one Blorbo, do you love them all equally?

I’m not sure about love because i never stopped loving all these characters but my passion has gone down for them a lot. But like with Kageyama my special interest in him has returned a fair bit.

30. do you think this character will still be your Blorbo three years from now on?

Yeah he’ll always be special to me! Tho in three years my main fandom could be different. Jjk is over and Modulo has some really stupid bullshit going on sometimes besides all the interesting bits

Ooh let me take this opportunity to gush about a few AUs that may or may not even exist in the space outside my head…

Okay so vampire!Al has to be high up on the list, because what’s not to love about Elrics engaging in parasitism? Knitting them even more closely in codependency, forcing them to literally consume parts of each other to survive? Not to mention any AU where Al is human-shaped during canon events is an automatic yes from me. My libido can only go so far with a giant suit of armor.

Then there’s the lovely modern AU brought to life by my partner in crime @konekowrites, which I kind of consider the default modern AU—the More Than Words ‘verse, where Ed and Al attend college with Winry, Ling, Lan Fan, and May, navigating adulthood and incestuous feelings. It is also the college we decided, as a joke, the Attack on Titan characters attend while a wholly different kind of brother-romance takes place. Incest University! (This story, unlike mtw, has not been posted anywhere public, because writing is hard.)

There have been posts made about this next AU, and not just by us nasty incest freaks—the AU in which Ed and Al share a body! Instead of the armor, Ed panics a little harder than he does in canon and bonds Al’s soul to himself, leaving the two of them stuck together, forced to pretend to be one person to the rest of the world. Who would believe otherwise? But since I am a nasty little incest gremlin, I also headcanon that this shared headspace allows for them to dream together—making all their fantasies come to life! After all, it’s gotta be pretty hard hiding your crush from your brother when you literally share brain space, am I right? Plus, they’d get to explore their arousal together, both awake and asleep! I’ve written dreamscape sex for this AU, and Ko has written a lovely post-restoration piece where the boys aren’t quite…accustomed to not sharing anymore.

And then there’s the AU that can never and will never be realized, because it’s far too complicated. More of a fever dream than an actual AU. But I have this image in my head of the Brotherhood ‘verse and the 03 ‘verse being entwined parallel universes, condemned to carry out the same tragedies again and again, ala Netflix’s cult hit Dark, 2017. Ed and Al not only suffer the tragedies, but bring them about personally because they cannot let go of each other. Ed would come to believe that the only way they can be free is by obliterating everyone and everything, ending it all—and Al would become driven to keep the tragedy going, spiraling in an endless loop, because isn’t the suffering worth it, if they can be together for even a brief time? And what about everyone else? Do they deserve to die just because we want to? (Ed, faintly in the distance: yes!) Anyway. My explanation is NOT going to do the idea justice for someone who has not seen Dark, so if you really want to understand—go watch it! Currently reading: Deadline by Mira Grant. I’m being continually, pleasantly surprised by the level of codependency the two main characters (a brother and sister) have.

Current obsession: um. Omegaverse? I guess? It’s weird, I’ve never been a huge omegaverse person—I’ve definitely enjoyed it in the past, but not to this degree. I guess it took thinking about legal fraud, financial vouchers, and immunity in the eyes of the law to get me really obsessed? Who knew! (Shoutout to @tiny-ss for listening to all my unhinged ramblings about it ♥️)

Currently working on: Next to Normal elricest. And the new Trigun finale has catapulted me back into plantcest, so I’m rotating some missing scenes (as well as complete AU scenes) in my mind. Am I working on them yet? Well…in spirit.

when do you imagine ed and al's relationship would first go further than brotherly love in canon? 03 or mangaverse :)

Hmm so I have multiple answers to this, because I ascribe to the Schrödinger’s headcanon rule—whichever fits your mental narrative best at the moment is the most true! I like to imagine there’s a universe where the boys have been together since childhood. Since they lost their mother, they’ve fallen into this strange role in society between “children” and “adults.” They may need someone to care for them/teach them sometimes (Pinako, Izumi) but they still mainly are alone in the world. I always think of that one ending sequence in Brotherhood where they’re grocery shopping and walking home, Al following behind Ed dutifully. They had to look after themselves! I imagine in those years alone in their mother’s house, taking care of it even though they planned to bring Trisha back, they fell into some…habits while they played house. People who live together like this are usually married, and married people share a bed…sometimes more…they can be like that too…

This is how I think when I hear lines like “I want to touch you again, brother” from Al. What a normal, platonic, brotherly thing to say! How can you not hear that and think “oh, they’re weird-weird.” They’re already dedicated to each other in every way possible—physically and emotionally. And who doesn’t love a good armorsex aside? Al bending his much-smaller brother in half and reducing him to a boneless lump? Yes please.

Likewise, though, there is a part of me that wants to think they’ve spent all those years of canon in deep, repressed denial and longing. That their relationship doesn’t stray into romantic or physical until after Al gets his body back, and Ed just can’t help himself anymore. (Al can’t either—experiencing arousal for the first time in his adolescent years? How insanely fun—and frustrating—for him!) It’s fun to imagine either brother making the first move—Al, slick and sly, easing Ed into the concept, trying to soothe his guilt, assuring him of how much he wants whatever Ed’s about to do. Or Ed, beet red and blushing, disheveled from how much he’s worked himself up over his feelings, blurting out how he feels or what he wants. Unable to meet Al’s eyes, of course, whether or not he’s actually touching Al. It’s fun to imagine it with the guilt or without, depending on my mood. If I want angst, I ramp up the guilt. If I want them shameless, then it’s them against the world! Just the two of them, however they decide! 😤

And of course I like to imagine the post-03, post-CoS magic of being alone together in a strange new world, no alchemy, no friends, no one they can trust with their secret—except each other. The codependency would fly off the charts! Ed scrutinizing Al’s clothes, wondering aloud why Al has dressed like this, like him, and it’s Al’s turn to go scarlet and drop his gaze and mumble. Ed shrugging, wondering what else he could possibly lose by loving his brother in this way. It’s not like they aren’t already in hell, right? The two of them facing the horrors of Weimar Germany together, clinging to each other as things get worse and worse? Turning to each other at night because really, they can only afford one bed after a while, and it’s almost a waste not to use it…

I am indeed a Bungo stray dogs fan~ i started watching the anime right when the first season came out and i immediately become obsessed~ i kinda drifted away from the fandom after i watched Dead Apple but i’m planning to binge the newer seasons sometime and afterwards throw myself into the manga~

As for Dazaku 🧐 i’m pretty neutral~ i prefer shipping either of them more with Atsushi than with each other. But i’m really fascinated by their relationship in canon, so i do see the charm~
