Ember had always loved Tara. Perhaps, it was the magic of the land - the pulsing age that hinted of centuries long past - or perhaps it was simply the untamed beauty of the place that drew her fondness but either way, one of the last things she had expected to happen was for the green, roaring feyry fire to eat its away across the sacred land. The initial blast had taken her - as well as everyone else - by surprise and it was through her orders and instincts that she managed to transport Freesia, the Seelie heir and the banner away immediately.
She returned a few seconds later to an ocean of green fire, hand shooting up to shield her eyes from the smoke. While others ran from the flames, Ember teleported closer to the source - intent on finding someone specific. Had Ember been a creature of her own whims, she would have grabbed him as soon as the fire erupted beside him but she had followed the crown first. Ember’s face split into a snarl of frustration at the heat of the fire as she moved closer to Forest’s dazed form. While the fire might not have hurt her when she travelled through it, she wasn’t necessarily able to just stand in fire.
Still, she managed to end up crouched beside Forest’s crumpled figure, her hands going to cup his face. “Forest!” She blinked rapidly against the sting of the smoke, throat restricting at inhalation. Her hands sought out his, her fingers linking with his before she yanked them into the fire. The green flames spit them back out again further away, Ember tripping backwards in the grass as she pulled Forest’s dazed form with her, the two of them landing on the grass once more.
