Ingredients: 1 box of yellow cake mix. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3 large eggs. 1 cup milk. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Yellow candy melts. Black candy melts. Orange candy melts. Lollipop sticks. Edible candy eyes. Small heart-shaped sprinkles optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease a cake pop mold. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the cake pop mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake pops to cool completely. Once cooled, remove them from the mold. Melt the yellow candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package instructions. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it into the bottom of each cake pop. Dip each cake pop into the melted yellow candy melts, coating it completely. Allow any excess to drip off. Place the cake pops on a parchment-lined tray to set. Melt a small amount of black and orange candy melts. Use these to create eyes and a beak on each cake pop. Attach edible candy eyes and a small heart-shaped sprinkle as the beak before the candy melts set. Allow the cake pops to fully set before serving.
