If you’ve yet to see the brand new video Yuksek unleashed earlier this week, toss on your best astronaut suit, check your oxygen supply, and get ready for some zero gravity thrills. The amazing video for the French producer’s rapturously lush house anthem Live Alone is cooler than the film Gravity. In fact, it’s spiffier than Interstellar, and more real than that nifty Mars television series that showed on National Geographic just a few months ago. You see, what you’re watching right now is authentic footage taken from the International Space Station by Yuksek’s good friend, European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Pesquet. The strikingly executed visual achievement also comes courtesy of director Jérôme de Gerlache. This clarion scenery from the vacuum of space is an obvious play on Live Alone’s title and lyrics, but those spectacular vistas are also fitting companions to the song’s lavish yet introspective splendor. Live Alone comes as a rhapsodic taste from Yuksek’s long awaited new album Nous Horizon, due to arrive February 24th on his own label, Partyfine.
