Ocean Promise is an alter ego project of ZoĂ© Zoe - further persuasive evidence of Lithuaniaâs growing talent pool (see also Manfredas from Les Disques De La Mort, Silence Music founder Vidis and Planet Muâs Few Nolder). Just ask Maya Jane Coles, who bagged the title track of the Church EP for her DJ-Kicks compilation. Mantas Stonkus aka Ocean Promise is a 29 year old rebel, living in Berlin. The music influences of Ocean Promise comes from the past heroes like Shades Of Rhythm, Lfo and Drexciya to this decade innovators Bjarki, Nina Kraviz, Skee Mask, ROD to name a few. âMonitoring The Future Survey Remixes EPâ is an intro to the Ocean Promiseâs debut EP, which will appear in the beginning of year 2016 on vinyl including contemporary Annananâs Remix. The MTFS Remixes includes a bonus track âDoppelhubpumpeâ with two acid infiltrated 300 Degrees remixes, Darius Vaikas treatment of âBirds Andâ, jungle massive version of âYou be Walkingâ and leftfield old school jam of âSystem Retroâ delivered by an extravagant artist IJO. It is a pleasant journey through various styles with a subtle northern Baltic spice. Remixes will be released on 40 limited cassettes worldwide and digital.
