The past few days became so tiring to us especially the last week, because of our preparation for the Pasafest. As for me, I’m not that so focused on our region because I’m also working on the Interdorm, the banderitas, and the fashion show for the pasafest.
Early this day, our region struggled putting up our mushroom booth, finalizing the cultural dance, and making the most out of our models. Our mushroom booth is made of a weak foundation so we made so many manipulations in order for it to stand up and look beautiful, well, at least. Our cultural dancers practiced only for hours and DG and Danny’s costumes are also just rushed (A big THANK YOU for Danny’s mom). Before the program started, we set up the tables with food with the help of Danny and Justin’s moms also.
When the pakain started, our region’s booth was crowded and the people are really getting and getting and getting food from the table. Fortunately, serving of food was temporarily stopped so that the visitors will go the program area to witness the awarding of certificates. That was a queu to us to use the time to slice and cut our food into smaller pieces so that we will not run out of food. After the awarding, DG came holding a certificate. Our booth won 1st place!!! :D We all jumped with joy!!! That was so lifting up because we thought before that we will look cheap because our mushroom cap is really weak, admittingly. But now I’m thinking that our joint forces, true unity, hardwork, patience, determination, and belief in our region were the things that made our booth look strong and tall for them.
During the last half of the pakain session, I left our booth and decided to go to other region’s booths with DG, Mitzi, Yrah, and Chad. Well, I’m so busog, actually! Haha. We were so thirsty because no region served water (Region 4A served kapeng barako). After that, Mitzi, Yrah, and Chad went home and the region 2 folks stayed at the program area. Christian (regional head) talked to us, making sorries if ever he has hurt somebody, but all apologies always turned to laughters. We went to the stage and we took photos, and videos as well of us jumping, making region 2 signs, and so many more. After that, we were kinda separated, I went with Dan, Rob, and DG and i became an instant photographer of them. Vanity! They pose so much, so many scenes, making use of the grass lawn, trees, and the moon. Haha!
On our photo session, they climbed the trees and we noticed that Rob is very good on climbing trees (he has strong arms, I’m quite sure because of the built of his arms and of the way he climbed up trees). They went on different trees until we reached back to region 2 where all of them stayed pala.
That started my favorite part of the day. We decided to play the zip-zip-bang-ah! Because some are beginners, we all broke into laughters when they don’t respond, and when they are shocked and surprised! Meanwhile, JC came giving us food (from region 4A with love daw :p). We decided to eat it after the game. The zip-zip-bang-ah! game lasted so long until we changed our game to the baril barilan thingy! That was so great! I became the moderator twice. Gelo is very fast! XD The game is very good actually. That was the best part!!!!!!!!! I didn’t want to go inside pa pero pumunta na kami. We decided to eat the region 4A gift at the TV Area but everyone’s tired after days of overworking and short sleeps. Awww!
Unfortunately, this day have to end. But that doesn’t mark the end of our friendship. This pasafest, I won friends. Friends from many regions all over the Philippines. But my friends from my region are the kind of friends that I wanted to be with all of the time. Tawa lang sa hirap at ginhawa. Masaya pa rin at gawa ng gawa kahit medyo nawawalan na ng pag-asa. Hindi sumusuko.
If anyone of you will be reading this sometime, I just want to say thank you guys for being part of my life and for giving me happy memories. I don’t wanna lose you and sana lagi pa rin tayong magkakasama. Sana our friendship, the FAMILY in us, rather, won’t fade away. I love you friends!
