Olazo Large-Scale is a survey of select paintings by Romulo Olazo done over his artistic career spanning the period of 1974 to 2014. This survey is a celebration of Olazo’s work by zeroing in on one aspect of the artist’s oeuvre – his penchant for largeness. It will also serve as the artists return to the halls of the CCP, the Center being home to a number of firsts in Olazo’s artistic career, including his first one-man show (1974), the first time he exhibited a large-scale painting (1978), and his first one-painting-one-man show (1981), among others. He was also one of CCP's 13 Artists in 1972. Olazo Large-Scale will also commemorate Olazo’s 83rd birthday on 21 July and his second death anniversary on 18 August.
The regular viewing time for gallery exhibits is from 10am to 6pm but it is extended during performances in theaters and other performance venues up to the first interval of the show.
