Pasha has shown a bit more if his personality. He loves friends, absolutely loves to cuddle, and has a strange desire to become a plant. Lol

Happy new year everyone! 

Pasha has made a lot of progress the past few weeks, including being okay with deep pressure therapy and what is expected during that process as well as coming over and demanding attention and giving a distraction during disassociation.

I learned today that while pointing at Pasha and giving a firm “no” works for most everything else, it has absolutely no affect whatsoever when he is trying to bite/nip/tug/teeth on you. 

However, if you speak “Puppy Language” and let out the most pathetic higher-than-your-normal-voice yelp-like ow, he backs up immediately and gets the most alarmed confused face ever. His next action? To once again put whatever he had in his mouth, BACK into his mouth, but with much more gentle precision. A couple times of that and he is starting to manage the “soft mouth” that the golden is known for. This will be very handy when it comes time for him to bring me things!

We’ve been doing some research!! It would seem that there is a very solid chance that our little Pasha is mixed with golden retriever making him an “Australian Retriever” or Australian Shepherd/Golden mix. 

His little piddy-paws are webbed, his coloring is mostly that of a golden, and he has a tiny bit of the black markings goldens (and some other breeds as well) can get on the roof of his mouth.

It would seem we have a lot of grooming time ahead of us!!
