Politics, classic etiquette tells us, is a subject best avoided when friends come to dinner."
Journal Ten: Passage of the Week
Source: Time magazine
This passage comes from an article called "Unfriending the Enemy: Politics overload drives Facebook users to cut ties." In light of the recent political campaign ending, I thought this was a fitting quote that everyone needed to be reminded of. The article talks about "the internet disinhibition effect." This effect says that people feel their actions on the internet, blogs, etc. are less serious when on the web. It was an interesting article, and I agreed completely with everything that it said, including classic etiquette regarding politics.
