Sincerely, Me
Dear future child(ren),
Presently, I am in my second year as a contracted teacher, and I am living and loving life. My family means the world to me, as do my friends and the man that puts a smile on my face every day. This man and I have a long way yet to go, but he and I have talked about the possibility of having you in our lives some day in the future. We have discussed what life might be like when you arrive, in addition to how we would raise you in this world. With that said, we can plan all we want, but let’s be real - plans have their way of going awry. So instead of telling you about our plans, allow me to tell you about my dreams for you.
My dream, my dear, is that you will be happy and that you will see something positive in each day, no matter how dreary or sad a day may be, while also learning how to spread goodness in this world. I wish I could tell you that you’re coming into a happy go-lucky place; unfortunately, this world is a long way away from reaching that state of peace and happiness.
You may think me silly when I tell you this, but I actually have a daily goal. My goal is to make at least one person laugh or smile every day. If I can do this, then I know I have made someone else’s life happier and brighter, even if it was for just a brief moment. This might not make sense to you, just yet, but making someone else happy actually makes me happy.
I guess, at the end of the day, my dream for you is that you will find joy in spreading love and happiness in the world. This world is filled with so much hatred and sadness that we need to do our parts to help decrease the bad by increasing the good. Become the most enthusiastic and positive person you know. Don’t expect life to be fair, but be there when people need you. Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them, and never underestimate the power of love.
At the end of the day, though, know that I always will love you to the moon and back, forever and for always.
❤️ With all my heart,
Your future mom 🤱🏽
