“It’s racist the things we need to prepare just so that we can visit Europe!!” Perhaps, but I personally don’t care. My passport is weak, I gotta deal, and if I need to apply for EU or Schengen visa then I don’t even fucking care, I don’t want to visit Europe anw (for now). Europe doesn’t owe me like I don’t owe Europe anything. Kazakhstan gives me 30 days visa free and I don’t care about anything else.
Also some Indonesians cry about Netherlands not giving us free visa, and I personally don’t get that. You wanna be free from colonization but you demand ex-colony privilege like what? I rather think this is nice, this is like a blank slate. Ofc things can be inconvenient sometimes but it’s all tolerable I think. Anyway Europe is overrated, and Kazakhstan gives me 30 days free visa.
i saw fic mention visa (rejections) for the first time and it feel me feel Some Way.
applying for a visa is such a humiliating (and expensive!) process. at every step of the way they are questioning your existance. i was even questioned by the airport employee while waiting at the gate to board my place. i have to show proof of income and bank account statements and tax returns. and when you get there and again you have to show all the documents?????
i wish these white people who do these checks had to do ts every time they have to travel. stfu with your "world trips" i can't even travel for work without months of stress.

The rule-based country narrative operates by turning complex societies into moral shortcuts. We see this when people invoke Saudi Arabia, Iran, or Afghanistan as the only possible outcomes for women in the East. This binary creates a world where you are either a liberated Western citizen or a victim waiting for rescue. Is it possible that freedom is a lived practice rather than a passport…
