It took me years to find someone to date. I had to find someone who really understood me and cared about what I was saying. Similar interests was a big deal too. I want my partner to be my best friend, someone I would want to live with and/or marry.

Yeah! It’s weird how many people seem not to consider friendship as an important element in romantic relationships. I mean, if it works for you without that, more power to you, but it seems to generally be a necessary element.
