Books for November: The Wolves of Willoughby Chase (1962), by Joan Aiken. Illustrated by Pat Marriott. Cover by Edward Gorey. A childhood favorite that's wonderful at any age! I only learned recently that the whole Willoughby trilogy, where each book stands alone, is actually set in an alternate-history UK.
