“It’s been a while, Peter. But you’ve come at a right time.”
Just as the church was about to close, on the crack of night, someone familiar had made his way into the area. How they met was long forgotten, and how Eiji found out the other was a dragon was also forgotten. While at first, he thought of making the other his next victim; finding out he was a dragon (a real one!) was a wonderful surprise! Greater than any murder.
Sitting down on one of the church chairs, he faces the mosaic windows which depicted holy figures; the orange and purple hues of the sunset shining through and highlighting his angelic features.
“Come. It’s been a while since we’ve talked.”
He pats the empty spot next to him; surely, this dragon was also one of god’s children - for he loved all. Even someone as himself was loved. In all honesty, Peter should know that Eiji wanted more than nothing to pat the dragon in his form.
While he was fond of killing animals he deemed unworthy when he was younger, such elegant and graceful creatures were to be loved by god’s hand. And how closer can one get than a hand of a father?
