The Dara Merdeka Retirement Home
It's been a while since I've made a Paterosari lot. Recently watched The Boroughs and I wanted to make an Indonesian style old folks home. Old folks homes in Indonesia are a lot more rudimentary. This one is formerly a colonial landhouse.
The front porch and the front desk
The common room and dining area
The building houses 20 residents and 8 members of staff
Upstairs are the staff rooms
The back yard and back porches
The Mean Old Lady's House
So I made this house for this mean old lady who used to be my main character's former teacher in middle school (she's also an old lady, so she's ancient). It's partly based on my partner's memories of his neighborhood, which was populated mostly by retired teachers.
The front yard, the two side gardens, and the back garden
The front terrace, the dining room and living room, the front entrance, and the back entrance
The garage, the clean kitchen, the dirty kitchen, and the servants' quarters
The mean old lady's bedroom, the master bedroom, and her daughter's bedroom
Her grandson's bedroom and her great-granddaughter's bedroom.
Hotel Hortensia Lodgings
The standard rooms of the Hotel Hortensia. One lot has 8 rooms with 2 buildings.
There's the rooms with the double bed.
And the rooms with the twin single beds.
The bathrooms are permanently stuck in the midcentury.
I think they're pretty cozy!
The White Peacock Cage
I decided to, of course, redo the peacock cage too since I decided to redo the hotel. My biggest thanks to @cityof2morrow who helped me in making the template for the mesh roofing with his custom roofs!
The Educational Facility Building
The original schoolhouse of the Caraka Badiran School was built in 1918 with the founding of the school and was named Gedung Langbroek for its original teacher, Juf. Madelien Langbroek. The building now contains the science and computer classrooms as well as a gymnasium and sports field.
The main entrance, with the original colonial era locks and gate, leads firstly to the school's health unit (UKS or the nurse's office).
A little further down the corridor is the main hall, where the science room is to the left and the computer room to the right. These two classrooms were the original classrooms, one room for younger students and the other for older students.
At the end of the corridor, there is the gymnasium. At the furthest end of the right is the staff entry and a small seating area for students to rest after gym class.
Then, at the furthest end of the left is the utility room (where the janitor rests and the gym equipments are stored) as well as the bathrooms.
And finally, the sports field!
Van Haji House, Exterior
I'm hoping this is the final time I'm rennovating this house lol
The front view, with the front gate
The front porch and the great-grandmother's personal porch, where she sits on her rocking chair and watches the neighbors go by
The left side porch, where the uncles and aunties smoke
The drive way entrance, the garage, and the right side porch, where the dining area is
Closer view of the dining area and the gardening table
The back porch, with the sitting area, the clothesline, as well as the goose coop
Caraka Badiran Elementary School
This school came to me (as most of my builds do) in a dream. You can't really see it, but it was specifically the front stairs. You had to go down some stone stairs to get to the school's entry.
