First of all, thank you for expanding more on the angst of D!Hermes and S!Dionysus! It was sad and it broke my heart, but I loved it anyway 😭
But anyways! I'm not here to ask you to elaborate on that one, unless I'm able to think of something lol
This time, I'm going to ask for a different ship, for Kane Chronicles this time!
I've been rereading your Egyptian Magicians headcanons lately, and I got really curious about what a relationship between an F!Isis Magician and an M!Osiris Magician would look like, and how you would envision that.
The connection between their gods and how it affects them would be really interesting, I love me some parallels, but also, I feel like they would understand each other's struggles really well, considering how important and strict, albeit loving, both Isis and Osiris are as gods.
They also feel like they would synergise and work very well in combat together, and it would make sense because of that connection.
Just spitballing thoughts here! I would love to know your thoughts about this! - 💜
a/n: Oh hey 💜anon! Glad you still find the D!HermesXS!Dionysus entertaining! Sorry but not sorry about the angst 😂 it just hit me like a bag of bricks at the time. Also, oooh okie, something new and exciting! Me likely this! I'll give this a shot because I like this concept and I'm up for this challenge. First time doing this so apologies if it isn't as in depth like the Demigod Ships one!
I really need to borrow the Kane Chronicles from the library sooner or later, because I feel like this is a time to re-read the series again.
I can see at first when they feel the pull towards each other, either one of them or both of them have reservations whether or not is it because of their respective gods dictating their feelings or is it because their sympathy magic has influenced them more and changed them.
There are definitely moments of conversation between each other about their gods and why they chose to follow said-paths; and the weight of it all where both gods are infamous among the Egyptians and their standards and difficulties.
It does not help that either gods' feelings still flows through you and when the one recognizes their respective counterpart's magic and influence in their magician, it acts like a beacon that is a comfort to their god and thus also you.
As much as you try to fight it or do your best to keep things minimal between the two of you, you both eventually cave in and cannot deny that putting aside your respective gods' pulls towards each other, each other's company is actually pleasant.
I feel like as an Isis magician and being influenced by her, there's a part of her that reacts to any danger and contempt towards the Osiris magician, where she can't help intervene or jump in to protect him from any potential harm as the memories and emotions of Isis flows through her magician of when she experienced her husband being tricked and butchered by Set.
I can also imagine the Isis magician starting to develop tendencies like Isis did, with motivation that it's to the benefit or need for the Osiris magician; especially since the Osiris magician is limited in what he can do with Sympathy Magic with Osiris, and what he can do in general to living or enemy magicians; like figuring out how to add to her repertoire of skills or how to uncover weaknesses.
Wouldn't be surprised if she followed Isis's advice with Healing magic and learning how to make poisons.
The Osiris magician isn't as influenced by his god, mostly because Osiris doesn't like influencing the living as much as possible as the God of the Afterlife, and Isis being a more headstrong god, but when it comes to Isis or any of their respective children, Osiris' influence spikes and while his magician is aware of the risks, I can see the Osiris magician following his words because its rare to see Osiris this reactive which means its harder to ignore but also he can't bring himself to deny the need; nor does he want to.
I can see when the Osiris magician has those lapses of memories where he experiences some of Osiris' memories, especially after overextending himself in dealing with demons and the dead, where he experiences Osiris being trapped in the sarcophagus and being cut into pieces, the Isis magician and Isis is by his side, tethering his body to the mortal plane and doing what she can to do soothe his pain with healing magic and any other comforting actions.
The first time it happened I can imagine it happens when they're in their dream state, the Isis magician gets a flashback of Isis witnessing Osiris's demise by Set so it's not like the Isis magician is going in blind. Since then, either the Isis magician starts developing a keen awareness of when it'll happen, or preemptively finds the Osiris magician when she knows he's on a tough mission, or the Osiris magician seeks her out.
However, when this events happen, the Isis magician feels like Isis picking up Osiris's pieces and sometimes, its easy to get lost as if she's doing the same thing to the Osiris' magician.
Not surprising, it doesn't take long for the two act as if they're partners both platonically or romantically. People joke you two are a husband and wife duo, and there are days that doesn't feel too far from the truth.
I'd imagine because of the bond of Isis and Osiris flowing between them, there will be a point in time that the two will forget that they're not actually 'husband and wife' nor are officially and explicitly stated to be in a relationship with each other because of their synergy with each other.
When they have to fight and are paired together, no one can deny their synergy with each other and fueled by their respective gods as they fight like husband and wife together, covering each other's back and weaknesses, while also bolstering each other strengths. Some people have even commented that when the two of them are together, they really think they saw Isis and Osiris come to life at times, which doesn't feel too out of the question.
But by gods if there is ever a Horus magician around them or in their circle, especially if they're younger then them, they're going to treat that magician as their 'child'. Doesn't matter the age difference or not, both the Isis and Osiris magician are going to be fueled by their respective gods that the Horus magician is under their care and it is very much adoptive family.
But can you imagine the Horus magician being related to one of them? Oh boy, it's over.
I can see with Isis' influence of paranoia or generally distrust, that she's not that keen on receiving healing magic or support magic in general from others, which transfers to the Isis magician regardless of their own disposition. Even from trusted healers, there's always the slight kernel of doubt and skepticism towards the healers and it makes it hard to heal properly with Isis and general resistant towards the healing.
I ca also see the Osiris Magician having the same problem with Osiris so I can imagine that both the Osiris and Isis magician both seek each other for general healing treatments from each other as the Path of Isis and Osiris both contain Healing magic and thus are capable of taking care of themselves and each other; and only agreeing to see expert healers for things waaaay over their mortal selves or in times of emergency when the other isn't available.
This adds to their bond as fellow magicians and placates their respective gods feelings.
☥ KANE CHRONICLES' EGYPTIAN GODS AND THEIR MAGICIAN'S HEADCANONS: 𓁭 OSIRIS: GOD OF THE DEAD AND LIVING, AGRICULTURE, REGENERATION, LORD OF AARU (FIELD OF REEDS) feat. JULIUS KANE ☥

I think I did alright and tried to pair back from canon egyptian lore from the Riordanverse as well as real life history, at least as much as I can with online resources. Hopefully I did Osiris justice. Hope you all enjoy this and have a nice day! Thanks for reading!
EGYPTIAN GODS AND THEIR MAGICIANS MASTERLIST {A03} || {TUMBLR}
Osiris bloodline and connection is not very common, nearing rare, given his position as the God of the Dead and Living, and is generally occupied with managing the Duat. That said, his connection to his host and those related to him is maintained with their strong practice and focusing on the realm of death; particularly keeping in mind of Egyptian practices and values.
Osiris’ Path of the Gods features Death Magic, Necromancy, Healing Magic, and Animation. If you’re particularly connected to Osiris, you find yourself having a talent in those realms of magic and comes most easily to you. All have their own challenges that may be easier or not due to your own beliefs.
Osiris when you manage to connect with him, tells you that the power you are about to wield and should you go down this path, he puts the stipulation that you must use these powers selflessly and without abuse. He is the god of the Dead and Living, and given his position, he is very serious about this role.
You may have a connection with him and while he wants to encourage your pursuit of knowledge with a fatherly, scholarly enthusiasm, he has seen what corrupt men mishandle the knowledge given and use it unjustly.
That said, with the persona of Julius Kane, he is readily available when he is able to answer questions you may have and guide you through with both the perspective of a researcher and father. This makes learning the path of Osiris easier in the sense you are guided with steady hands but at the same time, harder because you still have to stumble through mistakes and feel the everbearing weight of Osiris’ eyes.
A side-effect of having connections with Osiris is that you are susceptible to being in his memories. Adding to the fact that he is alive and dead, you feel torn between being alive and dead, literally feeling the weight of existentialism. Whenever you dig down into the power of Death Magic and Necromancy, you can feel the ghost of its power wash over you, as you’re more intune with that realm of power.
If you use those magic too much, you inevitably connect yourself with Osiris too much and you live his memories of dying, being cut up, and being put back together again.
Osiris does his best to console you and be there for you, but there’s not much he can do since this is the cost of connecting with Osiris directly and going down his path of the gods.
Depending how young you are, Osiris does not recommend you practicing Death Magic and Necromancy too much over Animation And Healing magic, his reasoning that while both life and death are both connected and balanced, you should not be so quick to learn of the realm of death any faster.
It's for this reason Animation magic and ‘Sunu’ Healing magic is something Osiris encourages you to participate in regularly, whether you like it or not. Sure he’s no Sekhmet with the path of healing, but it reminds you that you are alive and its good for you to be surrounded with Life.
Healing Magic has it draws though because on one hand, the feedback of feeling someone else's' pain through healing magic is numb on you but it also rushes through you, like you were giving a splash of cold water. When it comes to healing magic, your best as healing wounds, injuries, and physical forms of pain because the relation of the body with Osiris. However it comes to dealing with curses, and other things, that’s less in your wheelhouse unless you deliberately work on it yourself.
However, with being connected to Osiris, your healing magic is powerful in the sense you could bring back someone to life. However, the temptation with the Eye of Osiris at the precipice of your abilities is hard to resist because it can bring someone back to life permanently.
Osiris agrees there may be cases that you could theoretically use it for unjustified or unplanned death, however, he stresses that all things have their places. The part of Julius Kane in him agrees with the temptation and lull of it, and there may be a time to use it, but only once and only truly.
With your connection to Osiris, you can see the dead, ghosts, and other related spirits much more easily. You feel obligated to hear their words, help them along back to the Ma’at when able to, and basically act as Osiris’ agent.
While I may have said that with Julius Kane as his persona, you still have to deal with Osiris being in your head. Osiris may seem like a pretty approachable persona but as he becomes more assured in your magician abilities, he isn’t exempt from wanting to be in control. Whenever he sees an injustice done by a ghost in the living world, he makes you go deal with it or he would deal with it himself, making you perform rites to make sure it is done properly.
That or as Julius Kane, often has you dropping by the Kane siblings to pass on messages and the such. He’s still their father after all. You end up being in close contact with the Kane siblings because of this.
Although not often, when you do meet Ammitt, the demon is always happy to see you and you can’t help giving her the puppy voice and many pets. Osiris tells you to only call her by her name respectfully, but you still can’t help it.
