🖊 for Alesia!!!

Alesia is my Grey Warden who is actually, rarely, the grey warden. Cousland is the one origin that absolutely did not need Duncan and Alesia sure didn’t. She ends up an on and off again companion for the group with her mabari Teddy. Pre-Howe she had a lot of fun jock energy and is eager to have an adventure or prove her talent. Post-Howe she retains some of that, but is very angry has a laser focus on her revenge against Howe and anybody else who enabled him.

She ends up Queen with Alistair (usually). As a Cousland she gives Alistair a stronger claim to the throne and eases the worries of the people over Alistair’s less than stellar upbringing in terms of ruling. While Alistair has to toughen up a bit on the entire quest, his sweetness helps Alesia remember what it means to be happy and, eventually, move past her anger. They were passionate and full of clumsy puppy love (mostly Alistair) on the road, but it’s really after their wedding and the blight that they fall into a love that will be talked about for ages.

Also, she cries when Fergus stumbles is way back to Denerim. Full on ugly tears. It’d be the first time she finally let herself cry over what she’d lost to Howe.
