So, all my friends call me a cat because I have a lot of cat-like behaviors. I just read the dog coded stuff for Cross, and now I'm imagining him with a cat coded self insert. They tend to come and go as they please, wandering around to god knows where, but they always come back to Cross dutifully waiting for them. They aren't much of a chatter box, usually just quietly enjoying his presence, until they're seeking him out for affection and attention. And if he's not ready for it, that's okay. The two can just lay together. Easily startled and a bit skittish at times, so he's quick to step in and snap for them so they don't get hurt or upset. Augh, I have brain rot and just figured you may enjoy hearing too
OMG YES!
Dog coded Cross would be so curious about them!
Sometimes he can’t help himself and waits near the door, wagging his tail happily the moment he hears the sound of the key in the lock. As always, they tease Cross, snickering at his eager gesture;
Cross would also act like those touch-starved dogs. He would constantly be around them, sniffing and circling until they reacted in some way. In response, they would likely yell at Cross and tell him to back off;
They can't stay mad at him for long though, especially after hearing his whine from the other room, like a scolding, sad puppy;
Most of the time, Cross finds himself gazing at them, almost afraid to touch them for fear of startling them with his large size and intimidating demeanor;
However, Cross can’t help but shake with euphoria the moment they are by his side: stroking his hands, giving friendly pats on his back, and praising him whenever he does something good;
They can feel his tail wagging against their legs every time;
Sometimes, when Cross is feeling a bit braver or when they have a strange scent on them, he grooms them by nuzzling his face against theirs — sometimes even in their necks if necessary, to rid them of that odd smell;
When they sleep on the couch, curled up in a small ball, Cross experiences an attack of cute aggression, feeling the urge to nibble and bite them. He once gave in to this impulse, and they nearly had to make him wear one of those large cones around his neck as a result;
In the end, they get along pretty well — aside from their teasing and Cross's biting habit.
