     “ - I think I hit my head. . .”

In considering she was discovered in a fairly decent-sized crater, perhaps the throbbing in her head was the least of her worries. Least it doesn’t seem as though anyone has quite rushed over to observe the sudden damage besides the person her hand is grasped in to gain some aid. However when her gaze does arise to meet his own, there’s a concern of being found that has her releasing his grasp, stumbling right back into the crater once more, a yelp escaping her lips from the impact.

     “Wait - it’s not what it looks like! Well, it kind of does - I fell in! Yea, I fell in because. . .I was texting.”

That was something humans did that made them not watch their surroundings; it seemed like a possible excuse.

   “   y’know,   with the   –   uh,   ”   there’s a vague motion he makes in the other’s direction,  sort of gesturing meaninglessly at his whole body.   he’s not completely sure what words he’s looking for,   made evident by the series of noises all attempting to fall out of his mouth at once.   he can tell,   though,   that the person in front of him isn’t of any nature he recognizes   –   not earthly nor divine nor infernal.   the scent of space dust isn’t one crowley has forgotten,   even after all this time.

   “   not exactly like anyone else around here,   are you   ?   ”

                         ❛   ━━━   Yeah,  we  could  put  a  wanted poster  here  for  some  foreshadowing.   ❜    Shoulder  is  weighed  down  by  two  bags ,  one  with  camera  equipment,  the  other  for  staying  the  night.   Two  mistakes.  Even  now  he’s  got  a  weight  in  his  stomach,  nerves  warm  beneath  chilled  skin.   It’s  a  wooden  cabin  they’re  going,  a  crime  scene  without  tape  or  bodies  found  this  time.   Still  haunted  just  the  same  by  tragedies  left  unanswered.   All  the  more  reason  to  be  unnerved,  more  reason  to  tease  what  he’s  told  isn’t  rational.  But  when  is  paranoia  justified?  How  do  you  tell  when  does  it  stretch  towards  a  truth  and  not  a  lie?  It’s  all  a  set  up.   Mistakes.   Tragedies.  The  ski  lift  still  awaits,  the  destination  still  miles  away.   

        But  yeah.  This  looks  like  a  good  spot.  It’s  just  a  film  project  for  now.  Just  a  grade.  Just  something  to  do  and  be  done  with.   ━  ❛  Did  you  print  them  out  yet  ?  ❜

 His  gaze  peels  away  from  the  wall  to  find  the  boy,  a  makeshift  film  partner,   the  guy  with  ghosts  in  his  eyes.      ❛  ━━    Josh ?  ❜   Hands  bury  deeper  into  the  safety  of  his  pockets.  (   Where’d  he  go  ? )
