"I'm not overworked, don't worry. I just sometimes... stay a little late, so I don't have to go home to an empty house, just to be on my own. It's quite... lonely." Babe admits, his quiet voice giving away that he isn't exactly proud of the confession. "I'm on my way home, do we need anything from the store? I can stop by."

Xuan wanted to trust Babe on the fact that he was doing okay and not pushing himself to his limits by staying over hours during the weekdays, but he still couldn't help but still be worried about his partner. There was also a twinge of guilt piercing through his heart at the knowledge that Babe would stay after hours just so that he could avoid having to be alone in their house when Xuan had to work late too. It made the Chinese wish that he could work more from home, but sometimes, with both of his businesses, it would've been impossible for him to stay at home all day everyday. "I'm sorry, baby Babe! I didn't mean to make you feel that way..." Xuan sighed, "if I could, I would stay with you all the time too and I wish I wouldn't have to spend so much time in the office." The remorse was audible in his voice. "I'm really sorry for not being the boyfriend you deserve..." He wanted to be better for Babe, he really did... If only there was a way to be able to spend more time together even as things already were... "Ah, I have an idea though! If it isn't too much of a hassle for you, my love, maybe once you're done with the hours at the garage, you could come to my office so we can stay together? I'd really love that!~" Babe in his office... It would surely make work more enjoyable for Xuan too to have his boyfriend there. "As for the store, don't worry about it. I'd had the staff help with the grocery shopping, so we have everything we need for the evening. Just come back home to me, baby. I want to hold you in my arms right now!"

Dinner for two

Starter for @pathfinders-rp - Xuan x Babe

The rest of the afternoon flew by in almost a blink of an eye, as Xuan started preparing himself for his little dinner date with Babe. The man had impressed and captivated him from their very first meeting and now Xuan was growing impatient to have him all to himself for yet another night. All he could think about was the soft touch of Babe's fingers on his skin and that charming smile that got his blood rushing in his veins. It was rare for Xuan to feel this strongly for someone from the very first sight, but it seemed like the other male had truly put a spell on him and Xuan actually loved it. That's why he wanted to impress Babe to his best ability and to achieve that, Xuan had booked the best restaurant in town just for their dinner date, but he wanted to keep it as a surprise for Babe, so the raven haired hadn't disclosed to him the exact location.

Dressed his best and looking like the dashing force of a man he was, Xuan got in his car and started driving to pick up Babe as promised. When the clock hit seven on the dot, he was there, waiting for Babe to come out.

After Xuan's hum, Babe lifted a hand and slid it very gently to his boyfriend's cheek, just watching him while he thought and then as he answered, admiring how he took the question seriously, and warmed Babe's heart with his response. "Swans it is, then." He murmured, nodding slightly, and ran his fingers through Xuan's hair, smiling the entire time, still barely managing to believe he got this lucky in life. "Once we are reborn, you start searching for me, and I will search for you. Whoever finds the other sooner, gets to decide the name of our first baby chick." He said, the smile widening into an almost-smirk, but not turning any less affectionate. "I can't wait to swim in some beautiful lake or sea with you, and teach our chicks to be big and strong like you."

The gesture of running his fingers through his hair was something Xuan found great delight in every time Babe did it. It was so simple, yet such an intimate kind of gesture full of love and closeness. Plus, it sent tingles of pleasure running through his body every time he had his scalp caressed, so Xuan couldn't help but lean into his boyfriend's touch, wanting to feel more of that love and care. "Yes, two swans deeply in love raising their cute baby chicks!~" He couldn't stop from smiling, something that had become a habit around Babe and his cuteness. Then, as the race driver raised up the little hypothetical challenge for their future life, the smile got pulled into a playful grin. "Then I am afraid that you'll have to get used to the fact that I'm going to be the one naming our first baby chick, because I'm going to find you first no matter what!~" Xuan pulled Babe closer, wrapping him into a tight and affectionate embrace, as he pulled him to sit into his lap. "My love for you is so strong that it's like a magnet pulling me towards you no matter where we are, so I will always find you. It's a promise!~" He lifted up his hand to do the pinky promise. "And I'll make sure that I will find us the most beautiful lake or ocean you've ever seen, with lots and lots of beautiful lily pads and weeping willows to act as protective curtains shielding our love from any prying eyes.~"

"What should we be in our next lifetime, baby? Do you want to be otters in love, holding hands so we don't float away? Or black swans? I've learnt today that many black swans are gay, and they steal chicks, or whatever the baby swans are called, to raise as their own, which benefits the little ones, because the two male swans are stronger and more territorial. So... my love, wanna be black swans in our next life?"

Xuan let out a long hum, as if he had really fallen deep in thought at the question. Both of Babe's suggestions for what they should be in their next life sounded really good. Otters were adorable and fluffy, while swans were elegant and gracious symbols of love. "Yeah, sure, being swans would be cute.~" He smiled and gave Babe a sweet peck on the lips. "Plus, they are the symbol of love and some of the few animals out there that have only one partner for all their lives. Plus, if we could raise a bunch of beautiful and strong lil baby chicks together, then all the better!~"

"I love you too, my dearest! Always and forever, in every timeline across the universe! You'll be mine and I'll be yours, our souls bound by love and devotion!~"

"I am not going to jail for public nudity or whatever, so you will have no choice but to be happy with just kisses." Babe says jokingly, and once they get on the bus barely a few minutes later, he politely asks for two tickets, pays with his phone, and pulls Xuan to the back of the bus to sit down. Excitement already fills his entire body not only because of the kissing, but the whole date in general, Xuan's company, and the chance to be young and in love without distractions or worries for once. "Dinner and even a massage... You're spoiling me. I'm not sure if I did anything to deserve such special treatment."

Xuan couldn't help but laugh softly at that. Of course he wasn't talking seriously when he'd said that he would have done something more than just kissing in the bus. He might've been wild, but not crazy enough as to break the law and get Babe in trouble too. "Fine, fine... Then I'll keep the spicier kind of activities for when we'll be in a more private place.~" Xuan grinned and gave his boyfriend a cheeky little wink. Letting Babe pay for the ride wasn't something he would've normally done, Xuan being the one who usually offered to pay for their expenses and spoil the race driver in every way he could possibly do it, but this time around, since it was Babe who was taking him out on this date, he was gonna let it pass and let his boyfriend take care of him too. Plus, he'd get to be returning the favor later in the evening, after their date. "Yup, I'm gonna make our evening just as special.~" The Chinese responded and leant in to capture Babe's lips into a passionate kiss. It was fair to say that he was just as excited as his beloved boyfriend for the day looking ahead of them, both Babe's adorable little skating date and the romantic dinner he had in mind. But for now, for the bus ride at least, Xuan was gonna focus on the first part of their plans, which was some sweet and passionate making out at the back of the car.

Xuan's warning, that promise disguised as a threat is so tempting, that Babe does the only thing he possibly can in such a situation: he moans. His grip on Xuan's jacket tightens for a second, two, three, while he fights with himself, then he slides both of his hands onto Xuan's chest, and gently pushes him just a step backwards. "That... sounds perfect. And when today's celebration of your birthday turns into a celebration of our anniversary, I hope you will show me just how much you truly love having me naked and panting underneath you. But now... we have places to be, and a brunch to enjoy, so... be a good boy for me?" Babe withdraws his hands, then reaches one of them out again, taking Xuan's gently. "Come on, let's go. I want to make everyone jealous with how gorgeous my boyfriend is."

Babe's moans were like music to the man's ears, always so beautiful and tempting, stirring the fires of passion nested deep within his heart. For a moment, Xuan raised an eyebrow, grinning pervly at his boyfriend, seeing as Babe seemed to be going through an inner turmoil within himself, fighting his urge to just give in and push the raven-haired man back into their bedroom. Eventually, the wish of having a good and fun romantic day had won and Babe seemed to go back on track. "Alright, alright, sex can wait...~" Xuan chuckled, amused by the comments. But even if they were postponing the sensual intimate activities for later, he still leant in to whisper into the man's ear. "You can rest assured that I will make you see hearts and stars tonight, as we'll rejoice in the memory of our very first encounter...~ You'll be showered with all of my love, my dearest!~" That said, he placed a little peck to Babe's cheek then took his hand into his to leave for the car.

"Honestly, I wouldn't give a damn. You're coming home with me at the end of the day, so they can stare all they want." Babe said, sounding carefree and happy, and simply grabbed a jacket, before waiting for Xuan to get ready as well, leaning against the doorframe and shamelessly staring. And even though he watched the entire process of Xuan getting dressed, his mouth still opened in awe as he saw the final look; he reached out, gripping one side of Xuan's jacket, gently pulling him closer. "You... have never looked as attractive as you do right now." He said, but just a second or two later he added, "Well, yeah, you have. Naked, on top of me. But you get what I mean..."

Xuan's lips curled into another little grin as he got pulled like that towards his boyfriend. He really loved that look in Babe's eyes, it was thrilling and inviting, the kind that could easily make a man feel very good about himself and his looks. "Mmmm... Is that so? Then maybe I should wear casual outfits more often, if you like them this much...~" Hands found their way back to Babe's waist, gripping it gently, as Xuan then began to slowly rub his sides. "Careful what you say, baby, or we might not be leaving this place any time soon...~" He then leant in to whisper into Babe's ear, the other's comment about how he loved the sight of Xuan's naked body on top of him having seemed to please him quite a lot. "I am a patient man, but if you keep saying those things to me, I won't be able to hold myself back, because I too, love the sight of your gorgeous body, all naked, underneath me.~"
