Everything in the studio is made by hand, attention to detail is everything to me. From the initial form thrown on the wheel to the way the marks are painted and etched onto the surface. The surface treatment of these stoneware vessels is a new direction for me. I’ve layered them with terra sigilatta and white slip and they are unglazed. They are so tactile you just have to pick them up and touch them. These are fired up to stoneware temperature so are water tight.
