@pathwaytothefuture Shade couldn’t believe his luck. Or maybe it was his foolishness... After searching countless wrecks, he’d finally found himself a knife. Not a wimpy little pocket knife but a menacing-looking butcher’s knife. Something that could withstand a couple of fights without breaking. It wouldn’t protect him from the supernatural powers of some of the city’s strangers, but it was a start. He’d been trekking back to his home when he realized the knife wasn’t in his makeshift-satchel anymore. He must’ve dropped it somewhere along the way. Or a more chilling thought, it had been stolen... No. Surely the Dark God would’ve noticed someone coming that close to him. So he took to retracing his steps, brushing stones and debris to the side with his feet as he walked forth. When he saw another pair of shoes before him, he looked up with notable shock to realize he was standing mere inches in front of a white-haired girl. He jumped back and uttered, “Forgive me. I wasn’t paying attention. Just... looking for something.”
