1/8/19-Day 1-PARIS The potential for a proper patina on a natural leather watch strap is huge. I know from previous pieces made from this leather that it develops beautifully, but I've never tried it on anything as exposed as a strap. If I can remember, I'll update monthly on its progress. Aside from the obvious hand forged buckles and peened rivet washers most of the details on my Bishamon belts are hidden away. . Discreet stamped branding to the back of the buckle, just because letter stamped metal looks too cool. Traditional Japanese Kikkō pattern stamped into the back of the strap, mainly because I was slightly obsessed with the pattern back when but it also has a function too, see if you can guess. And of course, hand stitched belt keepers, tucked away between the layers of Britains finest 16oz Harness leather never to be seen.
