I assume it will work similarly to how Sam did both Scanlan and Tary a few times (we've also seen Travis do Bertrand and Grog, and Liam do Vax and Derrig, though those were pretty brief). Beau will take a step back from the conversation/have a convenient reason to not be there while Marisha runs Keyleth.

Yeah it’s been done enough by everyone else I don’t think it will be too much of a concern for Marisha to do. I also don’t think you’d lose too much by having Beau take a step back from the conversation either - not for that interaction anyway.

i want to contact doug ford's office (either by letter or phone), do you think i should do it in english or french? i'm franco-ontarian and i would much rather express myself in my own language (language being something i want to talk about), but i'm wondering if there's more of a chance someone will pay attention if it's in english. any thoughts? experiences/advice from people who have tried?

The tomato and mushroom soup part specifically is from yesterday’s episode where they played Overcooked, the rest is basically every episode.

Hi! I'm currently writing a short film script as a final project for a class. One of the main characters is Deaf and another is HoH. Their friend group includes hearing people who know ASL to varying degrees. I was wondering if it would be appropriate for them to simultaneously talk and sign when they're addressing the group as a whole. I know it's rude to do so when you're one-on-one with a Deaf person, but I was wondering what the verdict is when it comes to mixed company.

SimCom (Simultaneous Communication) where you sign and talk at the same time is very hard to do. In fact, only those with lots and lots of practice can even attempt it without butchering one of the two languages. I would just have them sign when the Deaf/hoh people are around? The people with less fluency can get by with a little help on words they don't know, or use fingerspelling. 

Its kinda like if you were in a group of friends where there were two people speak spanish and the rest know some spanish also. You’d speak spanish as best you can and get help from everyone else to fill in the gaps you dont know so that no one is left out. 

In either case, if someone who doesn’t know the language comes into the conversation, someone else translates for those not in the loop so that the group is fully engaged.

Probably compared to US towns (where the US has 10X the population of Canada). This story is by the New York Times.

By Canadian standards Sault St. Marie is a small sized city. Definitely not a town.

Hi, kind of a weird question. I'm hearing and I play a Deaf character in Dungeons & Dragons with an all-hearing group. I'm learning ASL and I'm trying to incorporate some into the game. Would it be inappropriate for me, as my character, to give sign names to characters and places? Mostly so I don't have to fingerspell long fantasy names.

As a deaf Dungeon Master, 

I think that it really depends on whether /you/ the player are deaf or not. if you are, then I dont see a problem with it. If you are hearing, then it seems like just abbreviating people and place names would be best. There is a ‘name spot’ on the shoulder opposite your dominant that you can use for this. Tap that area with your hand in the shape of the first letter of the person you’re talking about and that will serve as their sign :)Mod M
