Martin Taylor Prays 

The creepy prayer scene from Brimstone & Treacle. If you can ignore the cheesy sound effects, there are some brilliantly funny bits. What was it abjectadmirer said about his "wicked sense of humour about sex"? LOL 

At 3:13, he lapses into his American televangelist impersonation. I still get a kick out of that. Maybe this belongs in my Dubious Kitchen Accent series. If I had one, that is.

1974 vintage RRREXY Kitchen in Seven Faces of Woman - St Martin's Summer with Patricia Lawrence. 

Together again, with Denholm Elliott, in the 1976 television production of Dennis Potter's Brimstone and Treacle - incidentally, not shown on BBC1 until 1987. That must have been a big disappointment to all concerned - and possibly a bit of an embarrassment to MK, whose hair, by then, was looking positively tame by comparison.
