Good evening everyone! FYI. I mailed out my rent receipt on Friday, June 30. 3023. Received envelope back on Monday, July 10, 2023. Needless to say was shocked. I called rent office regarding this matter and was surprised to hear I wasn't the only one. I was told that the Post Office is overwhelmed and short staffed. The Post Office in question is 229 East 85th Street NY, NY 10028. Of course not using anymore. Haven't had problems with others.

QUALITY TIME. the girlies like doing face masks, getting their nails done — staying in, quiet, domestic activities. anything to differentiate from their otherwise chaotic lives.

ADDICTION. pat is one of the few people to get through to spirit about her cocaine addiction. im not saying it fixes her or that she gets clean, but she does start to view it as more than just a casual habit.

HARRIS. pat knows that spirit has an abusive older brother. has tried and failed to get him killed.

LATER. pat and spirit stay friends for a long, long time. pat feels close to spirit after spirit lets her crash after the coup. moreover, she feels like she wants to help spirit get clean and Better after they reunite.

román & spirit

QUALTY TIME. does román smoke weed? if not, he hangs around while spirit smokes weed and packages pills. likes to make sure she's getting the job done right.

ADDICTION. román is one of the only other people to get through to spirit about her cocaine addiction. he's genuinely worried about her, and she actually sees that.

PATRICIA. they agree to never tell pat about spirit's attempted advances.

LATER. román and spirit stay in touch by virtue of spirit and pat staying in touch. he still worries over her like a younger sister or daughter.

Spirit was younger when Pat asked to hide out in her shitty apartment for a few days. A few days turned into a few weeks, turned into Spirit moving into another equally shitty apartment in a different neighborhood, turned into arguments with Harris, turned into talking to Pat's ghosts more than Pat.

But, still. This is her friend. And when Pat calls or comes by, Spirit always answers — even when a hangover pulls her skull apart, even when there's white powder crusted underneath her nose, even when it would be better off for her, personally, if she just went back to sleep.

"Are you sure you want to be seen with someone like me?" She's only joking a little bit. Patricia is refined, is powerful, has succeeded at something, at everything. Meanwhile, Spirit is lucky to not be in a ditch (and has Pat, partially, to thank).

"I'm working on a case right now," she lies, "But if you come in, I'll make you something to drink."
